This will be our 10th annual retreat! If you have attended before you know it's a nurturing, creative, event! Come be a part whether you are a seasoned writer or a spectator unsure if you want to join in or just observe! Most of our past attendees would tell you it's likely you will be bit by the songwriting bug!

EmiSunshine & Fish Fishers 10th Annual Winter Songwriter Retreat in the Smokies

Note—- age 14 and up with a parent present accepted. ( we will have a separate event for 10-14 year olds announced soon) 

Feb 6th thru 8th, 2026. Hosted By EmiSunshine, Fish Fisher & Alisha Hamilton at The Historic Gatlinburg Inn.

This is a co-writing themed event for songwriters of ALL experience levels to meet, create & interact.

This 10th annual winter retreat welcomes songwriters from all over to meet up in one of the most beautiful, fun & relaxing regions of the USA to collaborate on new songs, play stages together & inspire each other while we all improve our craft. 

Registry Fee & Special Discounts: 

$400 per participating songwriter

*$100 discount for anyone who is staying as a guest at the Historic Gatlinburg Inn (must provide registry confirmation #), the Inn also includes free downtown parking for guests within walking distance to everything on the Parkway (valued at over $50), Breakfast served daily 

( valued at $15 per guest) so it is definitely best to book your room here.

*$50 discount to anyone who has officially attended & registered as a songwriter in this retreat in the past 8 years (This is our thank you to our “regulars” & repeat participants).

*Yes, you can stack the special discounts; IE; If someone registers as a repeat attendee and stays as a guest at the Historic Gatlinburg Inn their discount would be 150 dollars. 

*Family members of registered songwriters are welcome to attend the workshops & songwriting sessions free of charge, but as observers only (their names will not go on the copyright of the songs as co-writer). We do however encourage registration if you want to secure a place in the room as space could be limited ( you will only pay the 75.00 registration.) We know that bringing spouses, children, etc. is an exciting part of visiting the Smokies so we, of course, welcome all of your kin to join in the fun, lunches & learning.

Registry Includes:

·         Experiential learning - We write songs more than talk about writing songs.

·         Guaranteed co-writers credit on several new copywritten works - You will be included as a co-writer on 4 new songs (at least) with notable co-writers & recording artist of various genres as long as you attend all sessions.

·         The chance to have your song cut (recorded & released)  - Historically at least one or more songs from each annual event have been cut & released by various artists & co-writers, including EmiSunshine & other attending artists.

·         Songwriting Workshops & Guidance on the art of co-writing

·         Stage Time For Live Performances - The opportunity for stage time for songwriter showcases & jams at local venues in Gatlinburg and/or Pigeon Forge
